World's Apart

With only 2 weeks till I board that airplane that will deliver me (safely) into "Part 2" of my "Dream Tour" travels there is only one thing on my mind... I wish I could tell you that it's what shoes I will wear... or if it will rain... but today... my mind and heart is with 2 very brave people that I have come to admire immensely. I don't know their true names and I probably should not use their "twitter" names... but thier exsistance echoes in my heart as I wake with them both on my mind. These 2... I imagine they are young... twitterers are brave... beyond words... and I give them my honor... and my prayers. I have been following them for days now... and I find myself worrying for their safety... and crying with them for their pain and suffering. Here are a few of their last twitter posts... These are to different sources... they are not criminals... they are college students... geeks... twitterers... unified by their desire for freedom.

~ "It was horrible on streets of Tehran. Some our sources picked up last night, our supporters got phone calls 'Who R U'. "
~ "God help us all. We have taken a step towards freedom and many will pay a high price. Long Live Iran."
~ "in Baharestan we saw militia with axe choping ppl like meat - blood everywhere - like butcher - Allah Akbar"
~ "Sea of Green was at every sq, taking on the basij and being beaten until the ground covered in blood. God help Iran"
~ "they catch ppl with mobile - so many killed today - so many injured - Allah Akbar - they take one of us -"
~ "Lalezar Sq is same as Baharestan - unbelevable - ppls murdered everywhere -"
~ "they pull away the dead into trucks - like factory - no human can do this - we beg Allah for save us -"
~ "Iran's military, Iran's decent police and security, HELP YOUR PPL, don't let them die at the hands of Ahmadinejad."
~ "Everybody is under arrest & cant move - Mousavi - Karroubi even rumour Khatami is in house guard -"
~ "Last night r contacts, v close Khatami, were arrested so cannot confirm if Khatami under hse arrest. God help them."
~ "May you rot in hell Ahmadinejad along side your puppet master Khamenei."
~ "If u see u r about to be stopped, hide your cellphone. Go back for it later. "
~ "thank you ppls 4 supporting Sea of Green - pls remember always our martyrs - Allah Akbar - Allah Akbar - Allah Akbar "
~ "Allah - you are the creator of all and all must return to you - Allah Akbar -"
~ "we must go - dont know when we can get internet - they take 1 of us, they will torture and get names - now we must move fast"
~ "take battery out of your phone, they will be able to track you if U use phone. Be careful."

I want to repeat that these are not criminals... they are college students... geeks... twitterers... unified by their desire for freedom.

What started with the simple question,
"Where's my vote?"
Became blood & tears.

This is For You, Iran... and your beautiful people.

Be safe as you fight for your rights...
I will be praying for you as you seek peace.

Back In Your Arms

Oh to be in Norway last Tuesday... Amazing... absolutely amazing... I think that this is the best that I've heard Bruce beg... and as he begs that good "thing" back... he proves that he knows how to ask for forgiveness in his intro to Back In Your Arms. Bruce sings it passionately... like he means it... as he escapes... into that secret place where he transcends reality... taking us with him t0 where the only reality is the music... Amazing... All I can say is... I forgive you, Bruce!

A million apologies to my road trip buddy, Rachel as the Finland/Sweden/Norway shows were her choice for our trip but we opted for my choices of Dublin/Scotland/Italy... I'm sorry Rachel... but unless Bruce proves you wrong... I think that you may have been right! :o

Fade Away?

"You say it's not easy for you... and that you've been so lonely..." Well you'll never have to feel lonely again with this gem at your fingertips!! If you have a weak heart be very careful... because when Bruce gets on his knees... OMG... it gets very HOT in Stockholm!! Please Bruce... you must get up off your knees and stop begging... before I melt!!

Thank you, Bruce and The E Street Band!!

Queen of the Supermarket

How silly of me to wait till Dublin to begin my European chase... I mean trip to follow the Dream Tour... and I was regretting my choice last night when Bruce and his band played My Lucky Day... and then dreams came true when "The Boss" granted a request for Queen of the Supermarket to a crowd of happy fans!! It was a lucky day indeed the second night of This Stockholm Dream!! It seems as though the "Dream Tour" is just beginning!! I think that this means only one thing (to me) and that is if Working On A Dream is what I want to hear then planning a trip to Europe was/is a very wise choice indeed! I can't wait till July!!

Way to go Bruce... I'm just sorry that you didn't feel comfortable enough in the USA to showcase your Working On A Dream material. Please consider forgiving us grumbly... silly Americans when you return to us at summer's end?

A special "Thank YOU" to Camilla from Sweden for the amazing video!! :D
